Warm welcome to HOSTEL YMCA in Banská Bystrica,

Hostel YMCA is a fullfilled dream of a couple, fallen in love with travelling and meeting new amazing people. After 10 years of dreaming we opened the hostel doors to the others, similarly raved travellers. To those similarly amazed by this world. Hostel YMCA became this way a part of YMCA activities in Slovakia, continuing in its enthusiasm of working with and for young people.

Our dream was to offer you cheap accomodation in the historical center of Banská Bystrica, and an amazing place, comfortable and safe at the same time. Haven of rest for getting to know the beautiful places and people in Slovakia and centralslovakian region. Hostel YMCA will be a sanctuary after hours of hiking, enjoying skiing in various skiing resorts, spas in a close region or after hours of walking around Banská Bystrica. Hostel YMCA is a place where you find comfortable bed in nice rooms, hot shower, full kitchen equipment with 24 hours access or for more active rest – pingpong table or badminton rackets to defeat your co-travellers.

TV lounge, ample hot water & even table tennis. Location is ideal, plenty of bars to visit. Lots of nice scenery in the local area. Check out the Uprising museum when you are there!
